Here’s an honest review of Joah Brown—that they didn’t pay me to write!
I first discovered Joah Brown back in 2021 when a friend came to visit wearing a black rib knit top with a deep front zipper. It reminded me of my favorite Beyond Yoga sports jacket—only sleeker. The fabric felt divine, and of course, I had to ask her what brand it was. That’s how I was introduced to Joah Brown.
Later that night, I looked it up and… was immediately bummed out.
Not only was Joah Brown clothing expensive (way out of my budget at the time), but we weren’t affiliated with them—so I couldn’t share the brand with my audience through affiliate links.
I filed it away under “someday splurge.”

Finally Trying Joah Brown in 2024
Fast forward to 2024—good news! We were finally approved to work with Joah Brown… or so I thought. I placed a large order, spent a few hundred dollars, and then found out there was a glitch and our affiliation wasn’t working properly.
Still, I was excited. I’ve waited years to try this brand and the package did not disappoint.
Here’s what I ordered:
What I Ordered + My First Impressions
- The Ribbed Zip Top: Just as perfect as I remembered—super flattering and easy to dress up or down.
- Sweatpants: I never wanted to take them off. Cozy, soft, and warm without being bulky.
- Leggings: Smooth, buttery, and great for lounging or layering.
I ended up returning a few pieces that didn’t fit, and I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the Joah Brown return process was—prepaid label, quick refund, no headaches.
Even though I wouldn’t earn a commission on this order, I kept several items… because I was completely in love.

6 Months Later: How’s It Holding Up?
It’s been six months since that order, and I’m still reaching for the pieces I kept on the regular.
- The ribbed zip top works with everything from jeans to joggers. The adjustable zipper turned out to be very practical—especially when switching from kid pick-up mode to dinner with friends.
- The sweatpants? I’m literally wearing them as I write this. I’ve probably worn them 67 times in the past 3 months (not kidding). The ankle toggle is very useful—both for styling and keeping warm!

Joah Brown Sizing: A Little Tricky
This brand features very attractive, fit models… and I’m not one of them. For mere mortals, sizing can be a bit inconsistent –
- Bottoms: I ordered size L or M/L, and they all fit great—maybe even a little loose.
- Tops: Surprisingly tight, even though I’m smaller on top. Sleeves were snug, and some of the camis and sheer pieces clearly weren’t designed for women who’ve breastfed in uncomfortable chairs for years (if you know, you know). Expect the tops to run small!
Final Verdict: Is Joah Brown Worth It?
Based on how much wear I got from the pieces I kept – Definitely, Yes!
What I loved:
- High-quality fabrics + construction
- Sleek, minimalist silhouettes
- Perfect basics that still feel elevated
- Easy to style with your closets favs
- Great shipping + return experience
What to watch out for:
- Size up in tops, especially if you have a fuller bust or broader shoulders
- Some styles may not be the best fit for all body types
Would I Order Again?
Absolutely. In fact, I already have my eye on a few more pieces from Joah Brown’s new arrivals. Here’s what I picked out:
