Hi everyone,
My name is Nelly, and I’m so excited to be joining the EasilyDressed family!
I was born in Ukraine and immigrated to the United States with my family in 1989, when I was seven years old. I grew up with a mix of cultures, traditions and, of course, plenty of opinions about what one should wear!
I’m now in my mid-40s, and I wear many hats—as a wife, a mom of two boys, a mental health counselor, and mom to our little menagerie of three cats and a dog who is convinced he’s also a cat.
I’ve always loved fashion and beauty, but over the last few years I’ve really rediscovered how much I enjoy putting together outfits, experimenting with color and texture, figuring out what works for my curvy body, and finding my own style in this stage of life.
I love finding beautiful things at a great price, but I also really enjoy figuring out how to make clothes work in real life—with real schedules, real bodies, and real closet space that is definitely limited! I love helping other people figure that out, too.
Being a therapist probably influences the way I look at style more than I realized. I’m always asking, How are you feeling today? What feels right today? I think we can ask ourselves the same things when we get dressed. Our bodies and lives change, and our closets come along on that journey.
I’m especially excited to share style for all body types and women in their 40s and beyond, along with great finds, deals, styling ideas, and a little closet talk along the way.
Mostly, I want getting dressed to feel fun.
