Two years ago, I had the best summer of my life. Back then, I was pregnant and took a walk to the beach every day after work for an afternoon dip. Afterwards, I sat at the shore writing in my notebook in hopes that one day my son will get to read about the time we were sharing together.

Last year, I had the best summer of my life. Taking the stroller to the park by the ocean, I sat on the bench breastfeeding my little baby, basking in the sun and listening to the waves crush against the shore.

This year, I am having the best summer of my life. My toddler and I go to the beach nearly every day. I sit in the water and he runs to me and throws himself at me while splashing and giggling. He is learning to swim and build sand castles. I am working on my tan and counting my blessings.

There is only one tiny little glitch to my parade of happiness – my bathing suits don’t fit quite well since I am still working on loosing that dreaded pregnancy weight. But I solved this problem last night while writing this post. I ordered two new bathing suits by Maaji (there was a really good sale!!) and now I can continue to enjoy my summer 🙂
