Father’s Day is this Sunday, June 19th! And if you are struggling with what to get the most important men in your life, I am here to help you figure it out. There isn’t much time left, so here are a few last minute solutions for what to get for Father’s Day:
If your loved one is a tricky individual who has everything and needs nothing, a perfect thing to get him is an experience. For example, for Valentine’s Day, my husband bought us flying lessons. It took us some time to book our trip, but a few weeks ago we finally got around to it and it was amazing. I mean, I actually got to pilot a plane!!!
Groupon has lots of offers like this, from bucket list type of experiences to family trips or couple retreats. Here are some cool ideas:
- Cruises around Manhattan (including the Shark speedboat and sail boat beer-tasting cruise)
- Fishing trip
- Car rasing experiences (American muscle, Dragster, Stock car, Dirt racing, Vintage cars)
- TAPPED: Craft Beer Festival
- Adult Trampouline at Bounce!
- Scuba Diving
- Helicopter Tour
- New York Jets tickets
- Kiteboarding
- Bungee Jumping & Rafting trip
- Jet Ski around Manhattan
- Skydive
- Giants game tickets
- WWE Summerslam tickets
- Gun shooting
- Hands on Sailing Lesson
- Paragliding
- Independance Day family fireworks cruise
- Kayak & Wine trip
- Couples Massages
2. If you are looking for an actual gift but worried about getting it in time, there are two stores that will still be able to deliver your order before Sunday – Zappos and Amazon (if ordered Thursday by 3pm)
3. If all else fails, head to your nearest pharmacy and create a memorable gift at their photo department. Calendars, mugs, t-shirts and more, all are great ideas! You can also recruit your kid and make a gift together to make it more special!
Above all, nothing is more valuable then spending time together. Head over to the beach, picnic at the park or camp out in your own bed and watch movies all day. Whatever it is that you do, enjoy your time with your fathers, grandfathers and husbands and let them know they are loved and appreciated!
